At Sealsun Gundogs we can provide a variety of training requirements and services for you and your dog. We specialize in helping handlers train their own dogs what ever the breed and provide guidance and assistance with specific problems. We offer 1to1 training and group classes.

1 to 1 Lessons -             £30 for a hour

Puppy Lessons - £20 for 30 - 45 minutes

As soon as you get your new puppy it is time to start training your puppy. We can help you get your puppy off to a positive and rewarding start in its life, providing information from feeding and housing through to do’s and don’ts, equipment, early retrieving and hunting stimulation. We can advise you what behavior to expect from your puppy as it matures, helping you to form a strong bond at an early age.  

Novice - For Gundogs and Pet dogs

Starting with the basics, we can assess you and your dog and provide a program of training to take you forward, helping you with specific training issues or just assisting you to move on with your preferred type of working. Introduction of handling and retrieving instincts will encourage your dog to go about its task with confidence and enthusiasm. Be it general training, working tests, beating, picking up or just a nice behaved dog out and about.

Intermediate

Following on from the basics, we can assist you with more advanced training to gradually introduce your dog to a more varied working environment. Teaching your dog to remain focused and steady when working with distractions, through to the introduction of shot and cold game. Handlers and dogs are encouraged to work at their own pace.

Group Lessons - £10 per dog per session ( 1 to 1 1/2 hours)

We can provide group lessons for 2 or more, tailored to the individual group requirements. We have just started group lessons on a wednesday evening and where you can train and chat within the company of other people and dogs of the same standard.

Walk and Train - £10 per dog per session (1 to 1 1/2 hours)
We do a group walk where you can put your training in to practise, we also train at the same time this is held every saturday afternoon and we change the walk each week so you and your dog dont get bored with the same walk/training ground.
